Mid-January to Mid-March is considered as the Shishir Ritu. The air remains cold and windy during the Shishir Ritu. - Avoid taking diets and drinks as are possessing pungent, bitter and astringent tastes which cause Vata imbalance
- Avoid food that are light to digest
- Foods having Amla (tarty) as the overwhelming taste is preffered.
- Cereals and pulses, wheat/gram flour items, new rice, corn, and others, are recommended.
- Foods having Katu (pungent), Tikta (bitter), Kashaya (astringent) dominating Rasa are to be stayed away from.
- Soaking in sunlight is recommended
